There cannot be a more relevant saying for the fibre optic industry in Africa as these words of Eleanor Roosevelt.
This industry has, and still is, attracting global attention for many reasons, all of them the right ones. It is globally referred to because of the rate of growth of the industry, it is deemed to be well organised in spite of glaring gaps in regulation, and it is widely referenced on the topic of open access.
Besides that it is possibly the fastest growing sector in South Africa and Africa, creating thousands of jobs and opportunities. No wonder the world is looking. Ongoing engagement with venture firms echo the fact that it has become a very desirable investment destination.
On behalf of the Organising Team, I am delighted to welcome all the delegates and their guests to Cape Town, South Africa, for the 6th edition of the FTTH Council Africa Conference and Exhibition that will take place from 3-5 October 2017, this year at the CTICC brand new wing.
This is Africa’s biggest annual event devoted to the science and practice of fibre optic infrastructure, and as is designed to give delegates a platform to exchange ideas, discover opportunities, reacquaint with colleagues, meet new friends, and broaden their knowledge.
Maximize your personal involvement, engagement and networking by attending pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions presented by some of the best speakers in the world.
Finally, allow me to thank our sponsors for making this a truly great conference – without your support this event will not take place.
We look forward to seeing all of you in Cape Town later this year.
